The total area of ​​the district - 67, 469 ha ( 3.1% of area)

 

Land resources

• Agricultural lands - 40.830 ha, of which agricultural grounds  - 39.938 ha, other agricultural lands - 0.892 hectares,
• Built-up lands - 4.416 hectares, and others.
• Water resourcess - 2.498 ha. The largest water bodies are located on the territory  of Rudnyky (495.5 ha), Hirske ( 317ha ) and Bilchany ( 255ha ) village councils.  The rivers : Dniester, Barvinok , pp. Nezhukhivka, Chernychka, Kozyushyno, Korosnytsya, Vereschytsya, Vivnya, Kolodnytsya, Zubra, Berednytsya , Letnyanka , Schyrka flow on the district territory.
• Forests - 18.705 ha  (the largest areas of forests are located on the territories of  Bilchany (2673ha ), Stilsko ( 4417ha ), Krasiv ( 2711ha ), Rudnyky ( 801.4 hectares) and Brodky ( 1043ha ) village councils .

 

Minerals

 

• sandpits are  located  on the territories of Brodky and Rozvadiv  village councils, on the north - eastern outskirts of the city of Mykolaiv;
• natural gas production  is carried out on the lands of Velyka Horozhanka, Bilchany and  Kolodruby village councils;
• extraction of clay for cement production is carried out  in quarries located in the lands of the Honyatychi village council;
• open pit of  limestone is processed on the territories of Ternopil, Rozvadiv, Demnyanka and Krasiv   village councils.

 

  

  The main directions for tourism development in the area may be such new types of tourism as ecotourism, sports tourism, rural green tourism.
